Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on the 16th of April 1996, in Miami Florida. The mother of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is Anya Taylor-Joy. His father is an Argentine who had Scottish as well as English roots. The mother of her is Spanish-English. The Taylor-Joy family was a clan with six kids. Four of her siblings are from the previous marriage to Taylor's father. The family was originally from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when Taylor-Joy turned 6. Taylor Joy stated that moving from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was a struggle and she didn't learn English in hopes of going back to Argentina. Her school had to change between Northlands to Hill House. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school plays. In her 16th year, she quit college and began pursuing a career as an actress full-time. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to become an actor.
